Denver, August 7, 2006 - Qwest Communications International Inc. (NYSE: Q) today announced that it has signed a two-year agreement with Dallas-based Affiliated Computer Services (ACS), a premier provider of business process outsourcing and information technology solutions, to provide its state-of-the-art Qwest iQ NetworkingTM service.
ACS will connect domestic datacenters to the Qwest multi-protocol label switching (MPLS)-based network using iQ Networking's wide-area network platform. Qwest's iQ Networking service will be the underlying data infrastructure for ACS locations and allow the company to directly control its network and quickly bring applications to clients while reducing costs.
