DENVER, April 24, 2002 - Qwest Communications International Inc. (NYSE: Q) has set up a temporary customer care center to help customers who have been evacuated or displaced by the wildfire near Bailey. Adjacent to the Red Cross shelter, the center is located at Elk Creek Elementary School, 13304 Highway 285 at Pine Junction.
Qwest customer care representatives can provide customers with callforwarding and remote voice mail services. Both services will be at no cost to affected customers for the duration of the evacuation. In addition, the center is equipped with a phone bank for customers who need to place local calls.
The customer care center will be open today until 8 p.m., and will reopen each day at 8 a.m. as necessary.
