Qwest Communications Signs Strategic Marketing Agreement With enable

DENVER -- Qwest Communications International Inc. (Nasdaq: QWST) today announced that it has signed a marketing agreement to provide long-distance services for enable , a leading marketing services company and joint venture of KN Energy (NYSE: KNE) and PacifiCorp (NYSE: PPW). The agreement provides Qwest with an efficient way to reach millions of consumers as enable markets the Simple Choice brand to utilities across the nation. The agreement positions Qwest among the first to offer value-added consumer services in the deregulated telecommunications and energy environments. For enable, the agreement allows the company to deliver another quality service through its Simple Choice brand. Simple Choice now offers more than two dozen home-oriented, energy, communications and entertainment services with one call, on one bill and payable with one check to the local utility. The service, offered under the Simple Choice communications brand, will leverage Qwest's high capacity, fiber optic network and low cost market position. Qwest services to be offered under Simple Choice include:

  • One Plus Outbound Long Distance - the basic service enabling customers to make outbound long distance calls from any local telephone,
  • Calling Card - a traditional, telephone calling card allowing the customer to place calls from anywhere in the United States, Canada and 34 countries around the world.
  • Special International Pricing - competitive international pricing for all the services listed above.
