Holiday Food Drive Donations Currently Tracking Slow

When:             Tuesday, December 15

2 p.m.

Where:            Utah Food Bank

3150 South 900 West, Salt Lake City

West side of building at loading docks

What:              Utah Pork Producers and Qwest Communications will make generous donations to help push Utah Food Bank’s donation totals towards its holiday goals. Currently, holiday donations are tracking behind in relation to the goal of collecting 1.6 million pounds of food. But as Utah Food Bank continues to request much-needed donations of food, money and volunteer time, community partners step up to the plate.

Qwest Communications will present Utah Food Bank with a gift of $15,000 and the

Utah Pork Producers Association will make a donation 800 pounds of pork patties. As the emergency food network is reporting a 35 percent increase in request for food assistance, both donations will greatly aid Utahns in need.
