CenturyLink launches Prism® TV in the City of Minneapolis

Residents and businesses now have a new and better choice for TV service

MINNEAPOLISCenturyLink, Inc. (NYSE: CTL) today announced that some residents and businesses in Minneapolis can now subscribe to Prism® TV, an interactive TV service delivered through CenturyLink’s nationwide fiber optic network. Prism® TV is a new alternative to cable and satellite services providing customers with advanced features and the latest in entertainment technology.

Today this city becomes the first in Minnesota to receive CenturyLink’s advanced television service.”In mid-2014, CenturyLink began deploying fiber-enabled 1 gigabit broadband service to residential and business customers in the Twin Cities area and later this summer, the service will be available to more than 100,000 households and 40,000 businesses. CenturyLink is now making additional investments to offer entertainment services such as Prism® TV.

Advanced features offered by Prism® TV include a wireless set-top box, whole-home DVR, a mobile app for watching programming at home or on the go, an extensive video on demand library and an app center for accessing social network sites. In addition, Prism® TV offers a large selection of sports channels, including the NFL Network, Big Ten Network, Fox Sports North and SEC Network as well as premium mobile content from HBO GO®, MAX GO®, STARZ Play and SHOWTIME Anytime®.

Prism® TV is currently available to some residents and businesses in the following Minneapolis areas: Camden, Northeast, Near North, Central, University, Calhoun-Isle, Phillips, Longfellow, Powderhorn, Southwest and Nokomis.
