(NYSE: Q) today announced it signed a two-year agreement with 3E Company to be the primary provider of long-distance services. 3E Company, based in Carlsbad, Calif., is one of the leading providers of Environmental Health and Safety compliance and information management services.
3E Company will use Qwest's dedicated and switched long-distance services to support its unique 24x7x365 HazMat Mission Control Center where trained 3E professionals provide comprehensive information and assistance for daily hazardous material (HazMat) management needs as well as emergency situations. The award-winning center is staffed by experienced HazMat professionals and provides "live" service to thousands of callers per week.
Qwest services will provide 3E Company with a secure and reliable solution to handle all of its sensitive long-distance calls. The agreement also includes the use of Qwest Control, a self-service Web-based portal that will allow 3E Company to make quick changes to long-distance services and preferences to enhance customer service.
