CenturyLink opens retail store for residential and small business customers in Woodbury

Customers can demo services, talk to representatives and pay bills

WOODBURY, Minn. CenturyLink, Inc. (NYSE: CTL) today announced the opening of a new CenturyLink retail store at 1605 Queens Drive, Suite 104, in Woodbury. Residents and small business owners can demo new products and services now available, including broadband speeds up to 1 gigabit per second (Gbps), CenturyLink Cloud and CenturyLink’s interactive TV service, Prism® TV.

CenturyLink will host a grand opening celebration at the new store from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. March 31. CenturyLink executives, local city officials and members of the Woodbury Chamber of Commerce will be on hand to offer remarks and assist in a ribbon cutting at 9 a.m. There will be an opportunity for photos with the Minnesota Twins mascot, T.C. Bear, from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. The Minnesota Vikings cheerleaders and mascot Viktor the Viking will be available for photos from 1-3 p.m. The first 100 attendees to demo Prism® TV in the new store will receive a free entrée from the Butcher Salt food truck that will be onsite. Attendees will also have the chance to win four tickets to a Minnesota Twins game as well as other prizes.

The new store provides customers the opportunity to try CenturyLink products for homes and businesses. Customers can sit on a couch, grab a remote and experience the many features included in the Prism® TV experience. They can also learn about broadband offerings with speeds up to 1 Gbps, home automation features and security services through CenturyLink® Smart Home, and wireless phone bundling options through Verizon Wireless.

“We’ve been very busy this year deploying new products and services for our Woodbury customers, including gigabit broadband speeds and Prism TV. Now we are excited to show our current and potential customers how these products and services work and how they can improve their lives and businesses,” said Tyler Middleton, CenturyLink vice president of operations for Minnesota. “For example, customers can experience how CenturyLink Prism TV is different from cable and satellite. They can sample our super fast 1 gig service and find out more about the cloud-based services we offer to businesses through our CenturyLink Cloud platform, and they can also speak with a representative about their current services and new services available to them.”

The store also comes equipped with a newly designed small business consultation desk that allows business owners and decision makers to meet face-to-face with a representative who can evaluate their needs, make recommendations and explain more about CenturyLink Cloud and the various security features that come with CenturyLink business bundles.

Customers are encouraged to stop by during store hours to learn more about the products and services offered and to receive a free in-person account review. Store hours are 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Saturday and Sunday noon to 5 p.m.
