ST. LOUIS, Mo. — July 27, 2009 — Savvis, Inc. (NASDAQ:SVVS), a global leader in outsourced internet infrastructure services for the enterprise, today announced a three year managed IT services agreement with Ricoh Americas Corporation to host DocumentMall, its Software-as-a -Service (SaaS) document management solution.

Ricoh is a leading provider of digital office equipment and document solutions that transform paper documents into information that easily integrates into existing business workflows.

The decision to move to the new Savvis-managed IT environment was based on the need to better serve small to mid-sized enterprise customers. The SaaS approach allows solutions to easily integrate into existing business workflows to measurably improve document workflow efficiencies. It eliminates the cost to purchase, implement and maintain a server-based document management solution and enables customers to decrease distribution costs like shipping and courier services by digitizing paper documents.

Ricoh’s Document Solutions & Services Division (DSSD) chose Savvis to strengthen DocumentMall’s on-demand solution offerings to its small and mid-sized enterprise customers. The DocumentMall SaaS solution enables customers to easily store, retrieve, manage and share electronic files and scanned paper documents using the Internet. Savvis’ SAS 70 II audited facility, better serves in the control and safeguarding of DocumentMall’s customer documents.

DocumentMall is hosted in Savvis’ Piscatway, N.J. data center featuring world-class facilities for power management, heating/ventilation/air conditioning, fire suppression and seismic engineering. It is integrated with Savvis’ Tier 1 MPLS network and hosting footprint of 28 data centers globally. In addition, the Savvis datacenter provides highly secure, robust physical measures to protect customers’ IT infrastructure, including an annual Type II SAS 70 examination.

“Our SaaS hosting platform, built on our existing global IT services platform, enables customers like Ricoh to outsource their SaaS IT infrastructure with confidence, allowing them to focus on their core business,” said Bryan Doerr, chief technology officer, Savvis, Inc. “We serve many ISVs and enterprise customers who have chosen Savvis’ IT infrastructure services to address their specific infrastructure requirements, and we continue to focus on providing better integration with SaaS markets, giving these customers a delivery mechanism to help them deliver SaaS more quickly and reliably.”

“Upgrading the hosting of DocumentMall to Savvis’ SAS 70 certified, state-of-the-art facility reaffirms Ricoh’s commitment to offering a safe and secure environment for its customers’ documents,” said Hede Nonaka, executive vice president, Ricoh Americas Corporation.

DocumentMall was introduced in 2001 as a cost-effective alternative to installing expensive computer hardware and hiring a dedicated IT staff for businesses needing to store, share and maintain critical documents.
