Denver, February 18, 1999 - Qwest Communications International Inc. today announced that it has won a three-year co-marketing agreement, worth an estimated $50 million, with AHA TelePLAN - the American Hospital Association?s (AHA) preferred telecommunications group purchasing program. AHA is the national organization that represents hospitals, health care networks, and their patients and communities, reaching more than 6,000 locations and 40,000 affiliated members across the United States.

Through the AHA TelePLAN program, members will be able to sign up for a full suite of Qwest?s competitively priced communications services and lower their operating costs. The new services will include:

Internet access; patient and pay phone operator services; enhanced voice, data and video transmission options;switched and/or dedicated access to Qwest?s nationwide fiber optic network; frame relay; private line; domestic and international long distance; domestic and international toll-free service; calling card; broadcast fax; integrated voice and fax; anddirectory and operator assistance.
