DENVER -- Qwest Communications International Inc. (Nasdaq: QWST) and Innova Communications, Inc. (ICI) today announced a marketing agreement whereby ICI will be an authorized sales representative of Qwest, marketing the company's long-distance services through affinity groups. By providing Qwest with an independent, national sales force numbering in the thousands, the agreement strengthens Qwest's low-cost position in the telecommunications market as well as extends their reach into a broader consumer market-base. The agreement adds a high-quality, competitively-priced service offering from Qwest to ICI's product line. ICI is an innovative marketing company specializing in telecommunications products and is reshaping it's industry with an emphasis on delivering a full range of products to the market efficiently through it's network marketing division, Teletricity.

Qwest and ICI are implementing programs to create a strong position for the Qwest brand within selected affinity groups through multilevel marketing. "The focus of ICI is to provide high quality, state-of-art products and services to the public, with particular emphasis on affinity groups, through our network marketing organization of independent representatives," said Jason Dunaway, president of Innova. "This marketing agreement gives ICI access to Qwest's telecommunications products and expertise, while providing Qwest a cost effective marketing and customer acquisition channel."
