(NYSE: Q) announced today Qwest Choice™, an innovative new residential and small-business bundle for local, long-distance, and high-speed Internet services. This new bundle changes the way customers select their communications services and provides unprecedented choice, feature flexibility and savings for all their communications needs. Plan elements include free evening and weekend long-distance calls from home for new Qwest wireless customers.

Qwest Choice allows customers to get the most value for each dollar they spend by selecting their own combination of services and features. As a customer chooses additional services, such as long-distance calling or high-speed Internet access, they receive additional savings from Qwest. The company will also begin contacting current customers when prices are lowered and new services become available.

Qwest Choice for residential and small-business customers starts with local voice service and can include high-speed Internet access and domestic long-distance service.

  • Local voice service ? Residential customers receive local calling, line repair warranty service and any three features of their choice for $25.99, the most competitive price in the marketplace. Small-business customers receive local calling, line repair warranty service and any five features they choose from a broad array of options for $39.99.
  • Wireless ? Residential customers who have Qwest local and long-distance service will receive free night and weekend long-distance calling on their home line when they sign up for a Qwest Wireless Freedom Plan.
  • High-speed Internet service ? To bring the benefits of broadband to even more new customers, the company has competitively priced its Qwest DSL at only $15 per month (plus the fees associated with the Internet Service Provider each customer selects). Current customers will immediately benefit from this price reduction and customers will see this new savings each month beginning with their December bill.
  • Domestic long-distance service ? With Qwest Choice, customers will never pay more than $20 per month for long-distance calling. Customers pay for only the calls they make at a rate of five cents per minute, with no monthly minimum or fee. Calls beyond the $20 per month are free. Qwest Choice Long Distance is available to small-business customers who are also Qwest local service customers.
  • Satellite video service ? ?Qwest DSL with MSN? customers throughout the company?s 14-state local service area who purchase new satellite video services via Qwest will receive a five dollar satellite discount on top of their Qwest Choice savings.Some pricing in Montana, Utah and Idaho may vary.

Beginning with local calling, customers can then choose the combination of services that best works for them and can change their bundle selections as often as their lifestyle dictates, simply by calling Qwest.
