OGDEN, UT, February 28, 2011- Qwest Foundation and Qwest employees raised more than $20,000 in 2010 to benefit United Way of Northern Utah and its partner non-profit agencies. This is the second year that the Qwest Foundation and Qwest employees have raised more than $20,000 for United Way of Northern Utah.

            “Qwest is proud to partner with the United Way to help meet Utah’s most pressing needs,” said Jerry Fenn, Qwest president for Utah. “This is one of many ways that our employees and the company itself invests in our great state. Our employees also volunteer thousands of hours in various communities

throughout Utah.”

In addition to pledging via payroll deduction, Qwest employees held various special events including pancake breakfasts, raffles, BBQs and United Way lunches to rally United Way donations.

  “We are tremendously grateful for the leadership and commitment to our community demonstrated by Qwest and its employees,” said Robert Hunter, United Way of Northern Utah, President and CEO. “Their ongoing spirit of generosity reflected in these contributions will have a direct and lasting impact on improving lives in our community.”
