DENVER, Jan. 17, 2008 — Qwest Communications International Inc. (NYSE: Q) today announced the appointment of Warren L. Mickens as vice president of operations for Qwest Wholesale Markets, effective Jan. 23. He replaces Brian Stading, who recently was named the company’s vice president of sales support operations for Mass Markets. Mickens will report to Roland Thornton, executive vice president, Qwest Wholesale Markets.

In his new role, Mickens will direct a team that provides a broad range of support and service functions critical to Wholesale's daily operations, including sales support, service delivery, process management, sales engineering, and billing and collections.
