DENVER, Nov.16, 2006 - Qwest Communications recently launched a new business-targeted advertising campaign that blurs the line-literally-between advertising and art. The campaign's television ads illustrate Qwest's ability to be nimble when addressing the needs of business and government customers of all sizes.
The ads describe Qwest's portfolio of national data, IP and voice solutions in a unique, dazzling and truly attention-grabbing way-through the use of sand art. The sand art ads are a new creative approach for Qwest's business advertising, and mark the first time Qwest has developed advertising to address enterprise, mid-market and local business customers in the same campaign.
In the ads, artist Ilana Yahav uses sand, her hands and a light board to "morph" a sand art image into new images, as a simple narrative describes the advantages of Qwest's robust business product portfolio and national network strength. Each version of the TV ads highlights a different way in which Qwest demonstrates its nimbleness: through business scalability, tailored solutions and responsiveness.
"The new Qwest business advertising captures the essence of Qwest's commitment to all types of business customers," said Laura Sankey, Qwest executive vice president of marketing and communications. "The sand art imagery represents Qwest's unique and nimble abilities to deliver the data, IP and voice solutions that business customers want, in the way they want them."
