ST. GEORGE, UT, February 8, 2011- Qwest Communications and its employees raised more than $3,500 for United Way Dixie. This marks the 7th year that Qwest Communications has raised more than $2,000 for United Way Dixie.

 “Qwest is proud to partner with the United Way to help meet Utah’s most pressing needs,” said Jerry Fenn, Qwest president for Utah. “This is one of many ways that our employees and the company itself invests in our great State. Our employees also volunteer thousands of hours in various communities

throughout Utah.”

 

In addition to pledging payroll deductions, Qwest employees held various special events including pancake breakfasts, raffles, BBQs and United Way lunches to rally United Way donations.

 

“We are grateful to our local Qwest employees for 100% participation in our local campaign and their long-term commitment to helping our community,” said Muriel Blake, Chairman of the Board of United Way Dixie.
