SIERRA VISTA, AZ, February 9, 2011- Qwest Communications and its employees raised more than $14,000 to benefit United Way of Sierra Vista and Cochise County. This marks the second year that Qwest employees have raised more than $10,000 for United Way.

            “Qwest is proud to partner with the United Way to provide needed assistance throughout Arizona,” said Jim Campbell, Qwest president for Arizona. “Our employees and our company remain committed to the state of Arizona and its future. We will continue to give our time and talent, as represented by the thousands of hours our employees have invested in various communities across Arizona.”

               In addition to pledging payroll deductions, Arizona Qwest employees held various special events including basket raffles, hamburger sales, breakfast burrito offers and United Way lunches to rally United Way donations across the state.
