DENVER, October 6, 2004 ? Qwest Communications International Inc. (NYSE:Q) today announced continued expansion of its voice over Internet protocol (VoIP) service portfolio with IP Centrex Prime, an IP-enabled interface that helps enterprise business customers with multiple locations and mobile workforces migrate from traditional PBX connections to a robust VoIP solution.

Through IP Centrex Prime, enterprise customers on traditional Centrex or PBX networks can easily migrate to an IP-converged voice and data network, while retaining the call quality and reliability of a PBX. Migrated customers benefit from reduced equipment costs and simplified management of moving and adding phone services for a changing workforce.

IP Centrex Prime retains traditional Centrex features, such as call forwarding, call waiting, and three-way calling to more sophisticated telephony applications used to monitor a company?s multiple telephone numbers.

Qwest launched its national voice over Internet protocol (VoIP) solution for business customers earlier this year. Qwest OneFlex leverages Qwest?s national IP network to give customers a single-source solution comprising local and long-distance voice service as well as high-speed Internet access.

Qwest currently carries 1.8 billion minutes of VoIP traffic per month over its national IP network.
