DENVER, April 10, 2002 ? Qwest Communications International Inc. (NYSE: Q) today announced it has selected DDB Worldwide Communications and a team of Omnicom (NYSE: OMC) units as its agency of record. The DDB/Omnicom team, which will operate as DDBQ, will save Qwest approximately $9 million annually because DDBQ will be Qwest?s single-source provider of direct marketing, on-line marketing, media planning, retail and sales collateral, channel marketing support and general media advertising.

The contract is effective immediately. Qwest will be serviced out of DDBQ headquarters, located in Chicago, with field operations in Denver and Phoenix. Omnicom units partnering with DDB will be I2i Communications, The Integer Group, Tribal DDB and OMD.
