DENVER, April 21, 2003 ? Qwest Communications International Inc. (NYSE: Q) today announced that it was awarded a two-year voice-services contract, estimated at $22 million ? with options for up to four years, estimated at an additional $44 million ? from the State of Minnesota.

Under the contract, Qwest will deliver Centron (a Centrex service), to more than 2,600 locations throughout the state of Minnesota. Centron is a managed, outsourced business telephone service that is leased to businesses as a substitute for that business buying or leasing its own on-premises phone system. Centron is a single-line telephone service that contains numerous calling features ? for example, intercom, call waiting, call forwarding and call transfer.
