DENVER, Oct. 25, 2007 — Qwest Communications International Inc. (NYSE: Q) today announced that the New York State Office of General Services has awarded the company a Comprehensive Telecommunications Services contract, under which authorized users of New York state contracts can acquire telecommunications services. The contract term is for 10 years.
This contract allows Qwest to sell telecommunications services to all New York state agencies, city and county governments, universities and school districts. It covers such traditional voice services as long distance, toll-free and calling card services; next-generation services, including voice over Internet protocol (VoIP), integrated access, managed IP telephony, and VoIP long distance and trunking; and data services, such as ultra long-haul with private line, multi-protocol label switching, ATM and frame relay. The contract also includes products and services that may be developed over its 10-year term.
