DENVER, March 29, 2010 – The Alliance of Black Telecommunications Professionals (ABTP), an employee resource group of Qwest Communications, is proud to present its annual scholarship fundraiser “Vegas in the Rockies” a silent auction with dinner and dancing, scheduled for 6:30 p.m. on April 10, 2010 at the Timbers Hotel, located at 4411 Peoria Street, Denver, Colo.  ABTP is dedicated to community involvement and enhancing young people’s educational experience. 

Each year, the Alliance of Black Telecommunications Professionals (ABTP) Resource Group presents a scholarship to outstanding individuals who exemplify integrity, leadership in school, community involvement and a commitment to helping others. 

This is the group’s 33rd year of awarding scholarships to high school seniors and non - traditional students seeking academic, professional, cultural and professional development. To date, ABTP has granted thousands of dollars in scholarships to more than 100 students based on academic achievement, leadership, community involvement and extracurricular activities.
