Oracle and Qwest Align to Deliver High-Bandwidth Application Hosting Services
Qwest is the First Strategic Provider for Oracle Business OnLine ? Bringing World Class Data Centers and IP Network for E-Business Solutions

REDWOOD SHORES, Calif., June 2, 1999 ? Oracle Corp. (Nasdaq: ORCL) and Qwest Communications International Inc. (Nasdaq: QWST), the Internet communications company, today announced that Qwest will be the first preferred applications hosting and network infrastructure strategic provider to Oracle Business OnLine*, the world's leading Internet application software hosting service. The alliance will combine Qwest's reliable, high-speed network and leading edge data centers with Oracle Business OnLine's application hosting service to deliver customers high-bandwidth, securely hosted solutions to enable their e-business transactions.
This strategic relationship expands Oracle Business Online's capacity to host mission-critical applications for e-businesses of all sizes. The alliance signifies another key component in Qwest's recently announced strategy to be a leading Application Service Provider (ASP), delivering Internet-based applications and services to businesses around the world.
Under the terms of the agreement, Oracle and Qwest will coordinate to host Oracle Business OnLine customers at a Qwest CyberCenterSM. Qwest's CyberCenters are located throughout the U.S. and connected to the Qwest nationwide Internet Protocol-based communications network.
Launched in November 1998, Oracle Business OnLine is a service that is delivering companies enterprise applications and technology across a network from a professionally managed environment. With a simple browser and network connection, companies access Oracle's 100 percent web-based applications, proven consulting services and reliable customer service.
