The CenturyLink career of Glen F. Post, III has spanned 38 years. He has served as Chief Executive Officer for 22 of those years and has directed all of the company’s acquisitions and divestitures during this time. In less than 10 years, he led the company from the eighth to the third largest telecommunications company in the U.S.

Post leads a highly respected management team that is focused on delivering high-quality products and services to their customers; enhancing the communities they serve in a meaningful way; and creating a dynamic work environment for employees.

He has maintained a disciplined approach to operations leadership and strategic acquisitions and to utilizing CenturyLink’s strong cash flow and financial strength to drive long-term shareholder value. The 2009 acquisition of Embarq Corporation (which more than tripled the company’s revenues and customer base) as well as the 2011 acquisitions of Qwest (which again more than doubled CenturyLink’s size) and Savvis have helped transform CenturyLink into the third-largest telecommunications company in the United States and a recognized leader in the network services market. The company is a global leader in cloud infrastructure and hosted IT solutions for enterprise customers and provides data, voice and managed services in local, national and select international markets through its high-quality, advanced fiber optic network and multiple data centers.

Under Post’s leadership, the company established and then expanded the CenturyLink Clarke M. Williams Foundation. The Foundation is dedicated to improving the well-being and overall quality of life of people in the communities CenturyLink serves. Named after CenturyLink’s founder, Clarke M. Williams, the Foundation is endowed by CenturyLink and provides funds for numerous community and educational initiatives, including the company’s Backpack Buddies Food Drive, which has given the equivalent of nearly 17 million pounds of food to families through local food banks over the past five years.

CenturyLink’s 2013 annual revenues were $18 billion, up from $360 million in 1992 when Post was appointed CEO.

Post serves on the National Security Telecommunications Advisory Committee (NSTAC) and a number of other Boards and Foundations.
