CenturyLink’s customer-first strategy

As a technology solutions partner for our business customers, we guide them to explore ways to free up scarce IT resources so that they can focus on their core business and let CenturyLink manage their network connections and IT services.  Last week, we announced that we completed our strategic review process that began almost a year ago. As we’ve noted in our past quarterly earnings conference calls, we determined that ownership of the physical data centers is not critical to delivering significant value to customers through our network services, managed hosting, cloud solutions and colocation offerings.

Customers will receive the best of both worlds – hybrid IT solutions from CenturyLink, and a continued emphasis on maintaining high-performance data centers from a consortium led by BC Partners and Medina Capital. We consider our data centers to be strong assets, and we are confident in BC Partners/Medina Capital and our ability to partner with them to ensure the level of service our customers are accustomed to will not change.

We are committed to making this transition as seamless as possible for customers.  And our goal is to continue to innovate and invest in solutions that connect our customers to the power of the digital world.
