CenturyLink: Connecting People to the Power of the Digital World
Throughout history, communication has been critical to innovation and, since 1930, CenturyLink has been the infrastructure powering innovation all over the world. Change has happened at a rapid pace, but the need for fast, convenient, secure communication has always stayed the same. At CenturyLink, we believe in the power of digital communication to connect people, towns, cities, and dreams. It’s what brings technology into homes and businesses for entertainment, productivity, and engagement. This is exactly why we created our new ad campaign to give our customers a glimpse into what’s important to us, which is improving lives by connecting people to the power of the digital world.
We are very proud of our mission, and we want this campaign to show just how powerful digital communication can be. The song featured in the commercial is titled “Call You Home” and was written by an artist named Kevin Jones, who also appears in the spot. Jones wrote the song and uploaded it to YouTube and, shortly after, a friend posted it on Reddit. The song went viral and has since been featured on Good Morning America. Located in the small town of Stevenage, Wales, he was able to reach previously untouchable audiences because of his access to the internet, and it was that link that changed his life. His journey from unknown artist to music sensation epitomizes the power of digital communication.
At CenturyLink, there’s a reason we do what we do, and it’s because we know how important it is to connect people to the world around them – and each other. Over the past 80 years, we’ve laid the groundwork that links people to their loved ones, coworkers, and information to continue innovating, learning, and living.
