Qwest Shows Customers Best-In-Class Disaster Recovery And Risk-Management Practices

DENVER, August 10, 2006 - Qwest Communications International Inc. (NYSE: Q) today announced a series of seminars that offer business customers best-in-class disaster recovery and risk-management practices. The Risk Management and Disaster Recovery seminar will focus on information technology themes for 2006 related to data management techniques, risk assessment, recovery challenges and best practices and strategies for operational recovery.

Studies have shown that almost one-third of companies world-wide have no formal plans protecting them against natural and manmade disasters, and even if a company has a disaster recovery plan in place, it is often out-of-date and not tested regularly. During the seminars, Qwest explores top issues facing customers and helps them evaluate their preparedness in the event of an operational disruption.
