Qwest Re-Launches “Share the Win” Program

PHOENIX – July 28, 2010 – For the second yearQwest Communications (NYSE: Q) has partnered with Fox Sports Network Arizona as part of its “Share the Win” Program to provide support to the Friendly House, a long-standing community based organization serving the needs of Arizona families.


  • For every Arizona Diamondbacks’ win throughout the 2010 season, Qwest will donate a $100, up to $10,000, to the Friendly House organization to help support adult and youth educational programs. *In the event the Diamondbacks do not reach 100 wins, Qwest will continue contributing to the positive impact the Friendly House has had in our community.
  • For over 10 years, Qwest has supported the Friendly House organization through various Qwest Foundation Grants by providing access to school supplies, reading materials and nutritional food items for family participants. In April, the Qwest Foundation provided 300 backpacks filled with educational materials to students at the Friendly Houses’ Academia del Pueblo Charter School.
  • The “Share the Win” Program will conclude at the end of the regular season in October with an in-game check presentation by QwestArizona leadership to the Friendly House.
  • The program began with the first Arizona Diamondbacks win on April 5 against the San Diego Padres.
