CHEYENNE, Wyo. – The new Saddle Ridge Elementary School, Laramie County School District #1, is holding a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the new school.
As part of the event, the Cheyenne-based Snowy Range Chapter of the Qwest Pioneers purchased more than 800 brand-new books to donate to the school’s library in support of the K-6 reading program. The donation is being made through the Qwest Foundation’s Readers for Life program.
The Readers for Life program aims to inspire a lifelong love of reading in elementary aged children. Teachers will have the required reading books on hand so that every elementary student has the opportunity to excel at reading.
The Qwest Pioneers are a group of active and retired Qwest employees who provide funding and volunteer support for this event across theUnited States. The organization specializes in community service and educational projects.
