Merial Selects Savvis for Unified Global IT Infrastructure Solution

ST. LOUIS, Mo., — July 22, 2009 — Savvis, Inc. (NASDAQ:SVVS), a global leader in outsourced internet infrastructure services for the enterprise, today announced an agreement to provide a range of services to Merial, a leading, innovation-driven animal health company.

Under the terms of the three year, multimillion dollar agreement, Savvis will develop and deploy colocation and managed hosting, network and professional services, and managed security services for Merial’s global operations. Infrastructure deployment and operating system support will be delivered from Savvis’ Atlanta, Washington, D.C. and Singapore data centers.

Merial recently decided to unify its IT infrastructure and sought a flexible IT solution with global services capabilities. Savvis will host and manage Merial’s IT infrastructure that runs its core business critical applications across its operations in more than 150 countries. This includes ERP, CRM, Exchange, R&D, and File Shares, as well as operating systems that run Oracle e-Business Suite R12 and Microsoft Dynamics.

“With various operations around the world, we needed an outsourcing provider that could unify and support all of our IT infrastructure and operating systems,” said Mark Worrel, executive director, global infrastructure, Merial. “Savvis has the flexibility and global capabilities we were looking for and we expect Savvis to perform extremely well for us.”

“Our experience in colocation and managed hosting combined with our global footprint makes us uniquely qualified to support Merial’s needs,” said Bryan Doerr, chief technology officer, Savvis. “We have built a strong alliance with Merial and we look forward to serving as their trusted IT services provider as they continue to expand globally.”
