Fat Spaniel Scales Network with Qwest Hosting Services to Meet Renewable Energy Market Demand

SAN JOSE, Calif., March 6, 2008 – Fat Spaniel Technologies Inc., the market leader in providing monitoring and reporting services for distributed renewable energy systems, today announced that it has transferred its data center operations to a Qwest Communications International Inc. (NYSE: Q) CyberCenter. Fat Spaniel transforms renewable energy system performance data into information services for its global customer base of Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) providers, systems installers, integrators and inverter manufacturers.

Qwest’s state-of-the-art CyberCenter provides SAS 70 Type II Internal Control Standards that meet rigorous reporting and testing requirements, aiding Fat Spaniel’s Sarbanes Oxley compliance and enabling Fat Spaniel to scale its service infrastructure while maintaining the highest levels of data security, response time and accountability. Fat Spaniel’s services have become increasingly critical for managing renewable energy systems in 12 countries worldwide, providing essential information for operations and maintenance, billing, and reporting.

“System owners, investors and other financial stakeholders are demanding the same level of accountability from emerging renewable energy markets that they do of any established industry. Fat Spaniel’s revenue-grade services are designed to meet that need, manage operating and financial risks, and enable maximum return on clean energy investments,” said Chris Beekhuis, president and CTO of Fat Spaniel Technologies. “With more than 3 million daily data transactions across our network, from well over 1,000 managed sites, this seamless transition to a Qwest CyberCenter ensures that we are meeting growing international customer demand with the utmost attention to data protection and reliability.”

“It is Qwest’s highest priority to work with customers to solve real business problems with next-generation solutions,” said Tom Richards, executive vice president, Qwest Business Market Group. “Qwest Hosting Services will be a part of the comprehensive solution that allows Fat Spaniel to continue to collect and deliver mission-critical information for the renewable energy market in a dependable and certifiable environment.”
