Columbine Middle School Teachers Use Technology for Student Success

MONTROSE, COLO., Sept. 16, 2009 – In 2007, Montrose teachers Tami Gallegos and Teresa Brown won $7,100 in the Qwest Teachers and Technology grant program. Gallegos and Brown submitted a winning proposal to use technology in their Columbine Middle School classrooms, and purchased Smart Boards, laptop computers and digital projectors with their grant.

Now, the teachers have proven that technology helps pave the way for student success. Two years later, the teachers continue to include these items in their math, language arts and social studies classes and to motivate their students using creative new ways.
