Association Of American Medical Colleges Goes To Head Of The Class With Qwest Hosting Services

WASHINGTON, April. 28, 2008 – Qwest Communications International Inc. (NYSE: Q) today announced a multi-year agreement with the Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC), a not-for-profit association representing the faculty, students and resident physicians at U.S. medical schools, teaching hospitals and academic and scientific societies.

Based in Washington, D.C., AAMC administers two online application processing services for students applying to medical schools and for residency placement. To support the association’s growth, AAMC will expand the data center for the American Medical College Application Service and Electronic Residency Application Service in Qwest’s state-of-the-art Sterling, Va., CyberCenter and maintain its existing data center in Washington, D.C.

“The volume and complexity of Internet-based content and Web-enabled activities, and greater awareness about the benefits of third-party infrastructure management, are behind the demand for hosting services,” said Tom Richards, executive vice president, Qwest Business Markets Group.
