ATLANTIC-ACM Survey Ranks Qwest Wholesale Markets Best-in-Class

DENVER  Qwest Communications (NYSE: Q) earned best-in-class honors from wholesale customers using collocation services as well as voice and data in a survey conducted by ATLANTIC-ACM, a leading research consultancy serving the telecommunications and information industries.

The survey results, released yesterday, are detailed in ATLANTIC-ACM’s 2009 Metro Carrier Excellence Awards report.

“Qwest consistently scores well with wholesale customers surveyed,” said Dr. Judy Reed Smith, chief executive officer and founder, ATLANTIC-ACM. “ATLANTIC-ACM’s latest data shows Qwest continues to track well with customers for overall value of service.”

Surveyed wholesale customers voted Qwest best-in-class for incumbent local exchange carriers (ILECs) for data value, and Qwest tied for best voice value. In addition, Qwest scored top honors for both collocation quality and value.

Value scores are based on a combination of overall quality and price scores awarded by surveyed customers. Results are from more than 1,300 ratings by about 300 wholesale customers surveyed for the ATLANTIC-ACM’s 2009 Metro Carrier Excellence Awardsreport.

“Qwest is focused on perfecting the customer experience, and these awards are a reflection of our efforts,” said Roland Thornton, executive vice president, Qwest Wholesale Markets. “Qwest is honored to be recognized for the eighth consecutive time in ATLANTIC-ACM’s customer survey program.”
